About Us – Redeemer Pictures

 

Redeemer Pictures is a visionary film and television production company rooted in the heart of Welkom, in the Matjhabeng Municipal Area, South Africa. Founded in 2020, we are more than a production house — we are storytellers of the soul, architects of change, and torchbearers of African narratives for a global stage.

 

In 2023, we unveiled our debut feature film, Axiomatic Truth — a bold and emotionally resonant drama that delves into the psychological landscapes of truth, trauma, and resilience. This English-language, 87-minute feature made an unforgettable mark on the international scene, earning acclaim across continents:

In early 2025, we completed principal photography on our second feature film, Repercussions, a 94-minute romantic drama grounded in social realism. Currently in post-production, the film continues our tradition of crafting deeply human stories that challenge conventions and awaken empathy.

 

Our third feature project is now in development — a cinematic force designed to shake the very foundations of global storytelling — alongside a groundbreaking television series that seeks to reimagine the South African narrative voice.

 

At the creative helm of Redeemer Pictures is Mr. Mhlengi S. Khumalo, affectionately known as ‘Mr-K’ — a writer, producer, and director whose gift lies not just in capturing stories, but in reviving consciousness. Every script he pens is a seed of transformation — created to inspire, educate, provoke thought, shift mindsets, and above all, to entertain.
